Do you guys think valve increased the hat drop rate?

After the robotic boogaloo update, i've been seeing a lot of people getting hat/miscs drop lately and i thought valve had might increased the hat/misc drop rate plus today i found a larrikin robin in a drop (yay) soo what you guys think? these hat/misc drops i've been seeing lately are just pure luck or did they actually raised the drop rate?

It's really intermittent imho. Though people that idle still get a fair share of hats

It's just an instance of dumb luck. I've seen people get two hat drops in a row within the course of an hour, yet I usually have months-long gaps between hat finds.

There's something to that hypothesis. I found the Copper's Hard Top for the Heavy today. I never find hats.

Yeah, I've been seeing lots of people get hats/miscs recently, and I got the Attendant hat for my Pyro right after the update.

Valve hasn't increased the hat drop rate in a long time. The only time they increased the rate was a couple of years ago when idling was rampant before they reworked the drop system.

No, its your small sample size. Its like if you only got to flip a coin once a month and tried to find a pattern...sometimes you'll get a couple heads or tails in a row...doesn't mean anything.

Something like two weeks ago I found Koala Compact and just couple of days ago I found Sober Stuntman.
My friend once found two hats in two hour period.
And I´ve heard guys with over +1500 hours and no hat drops.

I dunno, random is random...

I think they did increase the hat drop rate. I've had more hat and misc item drops the past few months than in the entire year prior, so either hat drops have become more common, or I'm just having better luck with the item god.
