F2P = Noob?
F2P players confuse me, are they easy to spot? I think so for one reason, No hats, but then you see someone with an acheivement hat like the ghastly gibus, but you think that F2P = noob but then you see that some F2P users are so much better than Premium users, so this is my question, Does F2P = Noob, or Just Free 2 play?

At face value, a F2P player is just one who hasn't put money into the game. The implications therein are that they aren't invested into the game and are less likely to be as skilled as those who have thrown their money around. Because they don't put money into the game, it is probable they don't care enough about the game to improve their gameplay either.

Being F2P doesn't automatically make you a terrible player, however, just as paying to become premium doesn't make you a better player. It's just a general assumption that F2P players are new to the game and aren't as experienced as those who paid for it.

See i'm F2P also to tell the truth but i think its pointless to spend money on hats for a game that doesnt give you anything in real life, it just makes you look more cool, but then again you dont need hats to be skilled its the experience so i dont see why people waste money on stupid equipment that doesnt even hlep you.

Let's take this out into the real world.

Why do girls spent $500 on a pair of boots that when looked at by a straight male look similar to her existing pair of boots?

Because she wants to and she thinks they're awesome and that she may think other girls will like them too.

Same deal goes for hats in this game. Granted, the boots are functional, but no more functional then her existing boots. Just like the hats in TF2.

More inventory spaces is a significant advantage with trading, in terms of acquiring specific items, generally weapons, that have different functions. While not a direct advantage, it can be one if you need certain weapons; otherwise, it's similar to Recycled's point.

Why do you buy a video game you could pirate? To support the developers and hope they make more games you enjoy. Why would you buy a Hat or a Key? To support the game and hope Team Fortress 2 keeps running, or at least that Valve doesn't abandon it. The same thing goes with the boots example; I have no idea why some women buy heels, because I find it looks ridiculous, causes health problems if overused and cause pain for some, but it's their money, and I'm not going to dictate what they can and cannot buy, even if I don't personally see the logic behind it.

Do you realize just how many items you lost due to lack of backpack space in your nearly 1,000 hours because you stuck to F2P?

951 hours, divide by 10 hours a week is 95.1 weeks of game play. 95.1 x 8 = 760.8 items you've potentially lost out on. It's probably not THAT high, but you get the point.

I may not agree with Octavia on many things, but it frankly makes no sense to put the hours you did into the game without going Premimum purely for the backpack.

If you're serious about playing TF2, it makes sense to buy a 50 cent item to get the backpack.

You clearly never had a girlfriend who had the "Come **** Me" Heels. Those are SO WORTH THE MONEY. :)

Eh... I've seen them, no thanks. We're clearly into different women; no offenses intended, but I'm not about to go into my sexual practices here. No offense to yours either, but I find them a general waste of money; corsets, on the other hand... but I digress, I said I wasn't going to get too explicit here.

I don't think we disagree on too much, in the sense of things that actually matter, but we certainly have clashing opinions more often than not, but that's partly what I enjoy about our unspoken relationship; just making sure there's no bad blood between us, of course. It makes sense to support developers of games you enjoy, particularly when you've put so much time into the game; not even from a point of having more backpack space and drops, since you don't seem to be one for cosmetics, but supporting Valve for making a good game, in your opinion, which is proven by your hours, would be something I imagine you'd want to do.

Being F2P doesn't make you a noob.
You can't buy experience in the Mann Co. Store.

All youhave to do is buy 1 item from the Mann Co store. That's it. Cheapest one is 49 cents.

I'm not that much into heels, but I still can't resist a really good looking pair (Louboutin <3). Most important is to pick one you're comfortable with :)

No, it's not pointless. It's a way to support the developer.
