Should I craft the Familiar Fez?

Should I craft the Fez for 4 refined and a weapon since the hat is priced at a key? After all keys are priced around 5 refined now...

The Familiar Fez is worth 3.66-4, not a key (probably just hasn't been updated), so at the very best case you'd lose 1 weapon, though you could lose up to a rec on top of that.

I say craft it since it wouldn't cost more to craft it since the range is to 4 ref. Plus it'll have more sentimental value if you craft it yourself/

Note: Once you craft it, it'll end up dirty, so if you decide to sell it, be prepared to lose profit.

Other than that, go for it. No reason not to.

Dirty means anything that's on the item besides the description.
E.g. Not craftable, gifted by Brian, etc.

In this case, it would say 'Crafted by Sharpshooter 200', in blue text on the description.

Go ahead and craft it if you're planning on using it. I purposely crafted mine to be untradable so people wouldn't try to shark it off of me.
