i dont know, i am having this problem
Assuming what it was before was /steamapps/your username/team fortress 2/tf/cfg, it should now be /steamapps/common/team fortress 2/tf/cfg, though I can't confirm since I don't have a mac.

Well, since I can't try to find it myself, what was the old directory path for tf2's files?

what you said, application support/steam/steam apps/my username/team fortress 2/tf/cfg.
now i know that team fortress 2 is in common, not my username, but i still cant access class specific .cfg's

Is it perhaps possible to use autoexec.cfg instead (if it doesn't already exist then you'll need to create it)? I've already seen one other person encounter that problem, and using autoexec.cfg solved it. If that does nothing, are the configs visible but just don't execute, or what exactly?

i cant find any .cfg's anymore. i've searched through every single file and cant find autoexec.cfg or and .cfg for that matter

Does anything happen if you create one and put in your scripts?

okay, i figured it out. first, you duplicate config.cfg then rename it whatever you wants. enter your script there and put it back into cfg's. team fortress 2/tf/cfg
