I just got a brilliant idea
what if there was a spy sapper that dose not sap it instends turns the building into a friendily building for example: a sentry shoots the foes, a despensier heals your team, a teleporter that your team can use!

No, that would be overpowered. Think of the spawnkilling some spies could do with that.

No. It's been suggested many, many times before and rejected because it's massively overpowered. People who suggest it should be targeted and killed by all sentries regardless of who built them.

Well, I had contemplated that idea before, but then again, there's really no way to balance that to TF2.

To OP: think it like this: theres a huge sentry nest (large group of sentries made by multiple engies). Then a spy suddenly comes by and turns that sentry nest to their team, the sentry nest would suddenly attack the opposite team, and that team, say, wouldn't have any class that would be able to get rid of that sentry nest, completely ruining the game.

I thought of it before and thought that maybe it works like the red tape recorder. It turns the sentry way back to lvl. 1 and it then it turns into a friendly sentry that can't be upgraded unless there's an engie on the team. So it would be like the RDR, except slower.

How about you make a spy sapper and post it in the workshop instead of posting your ideas on the discussions.. Also people are acting like this is too overpowered. I would understand if it was like a two second sapper take down but any enginneer that doesnt baby sit their sentry or walks too far away from it deservers for it to backfire on them. Perhappes a longer spy sap time so that would give an engineer a chance to return to it and kill the sapper.

To make it balanced, here is what I'd suggest
- firing speed, ammo capacity, turn rate, health, and damage is reduced by 50%
- can only control one building at a time
- reverts back if spy leaves the firing range or dies
- can still be removed like a Sapper
- does no building damage
- doing so removes disguise
- can not be refilled or repaired by friendly engineers
The item would still be cheap, but it would seem a bit more balanced IMO

to meny people would troll with it though ultimately your going to have alot of problems with trolling.

i think a better idea for a sapper would be if it took ammo out of the sentry but it has redused sapper damage so the engie would have to waste more metal

I actually do know how to code, coincidentally I'm in my IT class as I'm responding to you as I'm coding my Space Invaders game. It was more of a suggestion.
