So, I don't know if any of you know what happened recently, but there is now a user in posession of an Unusual Cheater's Lament.
It was because of a user called Error reporting about a bug involving the creation of TF2 items. Basically, by altering the item schema, you could get one item of your choice to appear via the "Show Stock Weapons" tab. Then, you could use a Name/Description Tag on it, and it was all yours. I don't know if it included Unusuals, but you could still get rare promo items and other stuff that's impossible to get through normal means (Max heads, H.O.U.W.A.R.s, Golden Wrenches, etc). Error himself used the bug to get a Deflector, a weapon normally exclusive to MvM.
However, he didn't play around with it. He reported it to Valve before things got out of hand (before it broke the game), and as a reward, he was able to choose one (untradeable) Unusual hat of his choice, with a corresponding particle effect, and he chose the Sunbeams Cheater's Lament with the already existing Holy Glow effect stacked on, which you can see right here:
That's certainly one hat to live up to its name.
Overall, a great class act, and I think it's wonderful how he reported the bug without using it for his own personal gain. We've seen impossible Unusuals like this before (Circling Heart Bill's, Haunted Ghosts Spine-Chilling Skull), but not really in circumstances like this. What are your thoughts concerning this one?
