Team Fortress 2
Lousiest weapon in TF2 ? ... & Why

A lot of weapons are reseted, another round of research.

*Apart from stock weapons that is*(eg comparing bonesaw with Amputator), I think is a tough question since every weapon has its good and bad, and depending on its situation can either shine or dine.

Next question: Shall we discuss the Loch-n-Load.
My opinion: A big trade-off to grenade launcher
Good - more damage around 120. (not that much tho grenade L is 100's), faster travel
Bad - 2 shots. Only direct hits, missing does nothing.
Enemies nowadays know how to strafe, and my opinion, it's not easy for long shots.

Is the Righteous Bison proven a useful weapon in the battlefield ?
Answer: Damage upon hitting an enemy has satisfying damage, pierces multiple times. It's not as easy to hit target since it travel's slow - good for close-medium range and works more as supression fire. Goes in straight line, good for tunnels, straight narrow passages. Very useful in Mvm's. Buff Banner is another choice.
I will be making a short list of weapons less useful in battles but very suitable in Mvm.

What do you think of Mantreads ?
Apart from goodlooking boots, has anyone found them worthy in fights ? A large sacrifice to shotgun or even gunboats at least. Landing on enemy is not as easy as it sounds even in training servers with health. If you miss once, most likely you'll not get a chance again in real fights, and if you land close to them anyway, you would finish them with a market gardener.

I haven't tried it but says 3 times falling damage to the enemy you land on. About the peak of a rocket jump(maybe tops it a little-that means almost a vertical jump for height ) you deal close to 90 damage. You need to be very high up for over 100 damage. It is funny to land on enemy tho.

I'd think it might be more useful to avoid being knocked off a CP, or Payload ramp or elevator (in particular, Hightower) where you can lose substantial progress if everybody gets knocked away. That's still fairly limited since it only affects damage-based knockback, not airblasts, and normally I'd rather have a shotgun.
You can see how high is required.

Concheror ?
for being too long to charge to actually help well, there are better uses for its slot and mad milk would rather replace it well considering its 60% compared to 35% in concheror and mad milk charges faster but that's just my opinion. blackbox or tank buster set is good enough for defense.

Concheror is pretty good, it fills charge the same as the buff banner does so it doesn't take too long and the health gained can really help in a pinch.
Perhaps it is a good bonus to Blackbox's 15+ health, I'll give it a try again.

Manmelter: slow to fire as in rates per shot and weak against similar pyros. ammo isn't really a problem, you can always pickup. You are quite vulnerable in medium ranges but most important is you get crits for extinguishing a member,
Originally posted by poudis:
Manmelter was obviously made for the phlog and works perfectly with it as you can still extinguish teammates and you even get a little reward for it, just my opinions. I'd say the diamondback is the weakest by far for the ambassador can do the job much better.
Yes, I agree. Phlog is proven to be very useful in some maps, W+M1 and then critz bonus. Therefore Manmelter is redeemed to be a great partner along with the Backburner. You can't deviate explosives, but a good ambush set.

So far the other weapons I agree on that are weak are
-Eviction notice, I don't know how faster hitting speed amount to anything
Originally posted by Phoenix:
The Eviction Notice, has less dps the stock fists and no benefits. Sure you could get a random crit more, but it's a ton less damage.

-Cleaners carbine
Originally posted by Weksu:
Cleaner's carbine. Slower rate of fire and smaller clip, and the crits don't last long enough for the gun to be useful. By the time you get the kill, you have to reload anyway. It's a direct downgrade from stock SMG, which is already kinda weak.

Let me tell you of a little weapon called the diamond back.
Team with engies= Free crits! Yay
Team with no engies= Why would you even bother.

neon annihaltor imo is the worst, pyros can only use it in a map with water.

Not nessearily. It's a good replacement for the Homewrecker if Pyros don't have that.

Worst weapon is imo the Winger. Direct downgrade from the Pistol. Only useful if you can get all of the shots on someone, but even then, the Pistol can deal more damage.
yikes, i just notice there is a similar thread..

well, i disagree. neon annihilator can be very useful in ctf_fort map. staying around the water, your pyro becomes an underwater scary monster. 1 zap with it, enemy's dead. good to block flag capture
i currently use homewrecker for my pyro in setup 1 cuz eventho i have the axtinguisher, usually i'd blow them away and shotgun. close range, flamethrower is good enuf. hit n run.
homewrecker is good to stay with engie.

winger can actually help if you have critz powerup. im yet to fully test it tho.

oh yeah, agree with mackerel and eviction notice.

only thing i find good with mackerel is its less sounding noise so opponents might react less than a bat or frying pan.

Short Circuit - not sure anyone actually uses it.

Short Circuit is pretty useful. I use it all the time. Just because you don't use it or none of your friende use it doesn't mean it's useless.

It's exactly the same as the stock bat.

Actually, it's better since you can spycheck with it.

Wrap assassin & cow mangler.
No other weapons come close.

Wrap Assassin is pretty good in competetive because you don't really melee in competitve as Scout, and the Wrap Assassin gives you another option of damage choice if you can aim it.

The Cow Mangler has 5 shots, so it can be pretty useful in Rocket Jumping.

Boston Basher
Cowmangler (even though I'm not sure wether useless or just... "special" I saw soldiers doing pretty good using the cowmangler)

These are the only ones coming to my mind right now
