Spy needs a Buff?
I think that spies need to have more capablity.
Good-Spies can cloak, Disguise, and backstab to be SHIFTY.

Bad-Once a spy is detected they can be easily dispatched. Any good player can detect a good spy very easily. The Revolver is good with skill but does not do sufficient damage to defend yourself once found.

What do you think a possible buff without overpowering them would be? I think a health increase to 160 and speed boost by about 30% would be good. Spy shouldn't JUST be for inflitration. Each calss can damage, I know. But Spies should be able to do decent damage without getting 1-2 hit killed. Backstabbing can't be the only option.

Spies are support, their job is to take out sentries, backstab medics and pick off weak enemies. They sure as hell don't need a buff.

Go learn to play Spy instead of complaining about a class that I know damn well is almost unstopable when played by some incredible players. And I don't measn myself, I can not play the class well at all however I have seen some spies ranked MPV again and again on full teams of 12+ so clearly either you are terrible or Spy is OP.

Yes, I know spy is support but unlike sniper and medic, it cannot do an up front "not shifty" fight well against any good player.

At least +15% :\

30% more speed and 35 more health? That is ♥♥♥♥ing insane!! He wouldn't be a Spy anymore than. -_-
The Spy doesn't need any buffs because he's fine enough, well balanced, because he can already cloak and instant kill people, and he has 2 of the most overpowered weapons in the game, the Dead Ringer and the Enforcer, although if I HAD to give him a buff, it'll probably be a tad bit more revolver damage, like 5-10%, but that's it.

Spy isnt suppose to fight up front learn to headshot with the ambassador then you can at least protect yourself.
Sentient_Toaster Apr 2, 2013 @ 7:25pm
0/10.

Ambassador for the capable.

Valve already provided sufficient goodies for the incapable, low-skill spy, like the Enforcer, Spycicle and Dead Ringer.

Hmm. Fair enough. I still think it needs a slight buffo n life, speed, or revolver dmg....

The spy already got a buff to his Revolver. It's called the Enforcer.

No Please no! A good spy can take down a whole team, all ya need is to not have a spy for a couple minutes then when enemies aint expecting, engineers get ♥♥♥♥♥ and heavies and snipers etc, good spies in pubs are hell and if they give a buff? oh god.

Your buffs make the spy too good for absolutely no reason. I don't see why the spy can't just be situational like other classes. The spy can also deal decent damage compared to classes that aren't good offensively. He is obviously much weaker than offensive classes, but he doesn't need that. His role is to pick off key targets, not gunning down multiple enemies.

A health increase would just make bad players be able to do much more; good players can already move around while cloaked and avoid getting hit. The speed boost would make him way too good and would remove some skill needed to play spy. A good spy would need to have good movement if they want to avoid spam, but with a speed boost, it would be easier to get in position for a kill.

The spy isn't an offensive class, so he shouldn't need to do more damage. If you want a class to deal decent damage and not rely on stealth, choose a class such as the soldier. The spy is only meant for support.

The spy is meant for killing specific targets. He's not meant for combat, but the revolver is still a decent weapon for self defense or picking off low health enemies. The spy does not need to be stronger. He already fills his role perfectly, and making him stronger offensively would make him too powerful.

The spy doesn't need any buffs at all. He's currently fine, and there's no need for any buffs.

Whiiiich got nerfed actually. Revolver is still pretty much THE Revolver to use still, the amby's spread after the first shot hurts it's dps by comparison, and the only thing that will beat it is the Diamondback with a roster of crits on it.

Spies are balanced for all levels of play except the high end. They are quite bad in competitive settings because once someone dies, you are exposed and everyone will know. A spy is shut down HARD by communication and teamwork. How to fix this though without overpowering him in pubs? That's tricky.

I personally believe the spy should take on the run speed of whatever class he's disguised as. This will make Medic and Scout guises more believeable while buffing his mobility by a small degree in the process. It might give him the boost he needs in higher play while not really giving him a huge buff. He's still squishy, just a bit faster in certain situations.
