MvM tickets over 0.99$ in Market? WHY!?
Alright, it has been urking me for such a long time. Why is it that people sell Mann Up tickets (Sometimes keys and other items!) for MORE than the price in the store!? Also, HOW can people be stupid enough to buy those for those prices? (look at the sales of the items, there are records of people buying them for those stupid prices) Why do people sell them for more than the Store price!?

I think its because in Euros, everything in the Mann Co Store costs a bit more.

Because the prices in the store aren't the same in every region. Keys for example cost £1.99 in the UK which is about $3, so buying from the steam market is cheaper even if it looks like it's more expensive in the US. This might be the case with Tour of Duty tickets in other regions.

This is how I got premium for $0.09. I guess people just don't know that they can get them for cheaper.

9 cents or 99 cents?

its an exploit, people saving space in their backpacks by putting up things for stupid prices with no intention of selling.

that or they are just not that smart.

Some people could also be using it to move money around from different accounts. Like Mann up tickets and keys for over 200 bucks. Steal a credit card put money on a dummy account. Put mann up ticket on main account up for 200+ dollars. Buy ticket with dummy account.

Well if you stole a credit card, then why not put the money in the dummy account and your real account?

9 cents. I bought it for 99, and sold it for about $1.06, which earned me $0.90 after "tax". Net loss of 9 cents.

It's usually this. A way of clearing up backpack space. And end up winning even if the item is accidentally sold.

Or want to deceive individuals. There have been few cases where people massively buying items have overlooked prices and bought a $0.90 item thinking it was $0.09.
(I remember one case where someone swooped $50 carelessly buying)

Apperently there's a way to catch people that do that. I think I remember reading somewhere that Steamrep can check your ISP. So if you have an account with a stolen credit card and buy lots of stuff with it, and then send it to your main account, They can easily tell.

Plus, it only takes one stolen credit card report, Valve investigates, finds that card on an account, sees that person bought a bunch of stuff with it and is always trading with one specific person, sees that person reselling them for money = banned.

ISP = Internet Service Provider. Doesn't matter if they change their IP when they have the same internet provider
