Team Fortress 2
Hackers Everywhere
In the past 2 days, there have been hackers on almost every server I've been on, even on Valve servers! Is VAC not working or something? I'm really ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sick of this.

VAC system takes time for it to work. They will be banned, trust me, but it doesn't do it instantly. If you experience a hacker, just move to a different server. You can try to report him, but it doesn't make a difference, because VAC will take care of it.

VAC will work when it decides it wants to.

All you can really do for now is report and move on.
Thanks for your advice. In the mean time, I will spend more time waiting for serves to load than actually playing. :)

No, it doesn't work against F2P since they can just create new accout and keep cheating anyway. (Obvious hacks I seen are ultra-fast heavy, shaking aim piss sniper)
Whenever I spot an obvious cheater (speedhacks, all-crits, etc):

- Switch to spectate (spectate the cheater)
- F7
- submit a report
- try to get as many people on the server to do the same
- (optional) BM the cheater
- leave the server.

That's all, really. Look at the bring side, at least VAC works. Many non-Valve games have been ruined due to not having anti-cheat measures.

how are they hacking?

@W+M1 Pyro: Doesn't the ban go against their Steam account?
Absolutely. They need to do something to make it more immediate, or at least add proper steam id's when calling votes to kick people, and a points column to the status page. As it is now, the hackers just change names every 5 seconds to stop from being kicked. The past 2 days, hackers everywhere using speed heavy, aimbot, and crits

Join servers that often have admins in them problem solved.

So what? Since TF2 is free, they can create new F2P accout and start hacking again.

That doesn't solve the larger issue.

The Larger Issue should solve itself they will get Vac Banned Vac scans your software checking for third party software. It just doesnt ban you the second you start hacking the game it takes time for it to work.

Yes, sadly that true for a reason that instant ban would help hacker easily debug their hack program.
Hacker cycle : Get F2P accout -> Hack for 1-2 weeks -> Get Banned -> Get another F2P accout.

I thought that the VAC system IP bans you, or am I thinking of something else?
