Read the wiki. Reading it and understanding all of TF2's mechanics is extremely important.

I suggest skipping the silly ones and go right to "How to become a better <class>" (Engineer is near the top of the list, CannonKnight is another good one)

Focus on aim and placement.

Dodge, dip, dive, duck, and dodge. Do that until you can do it instinctivly, then do it while shooting.

Play smart, don't play hard. Who needs to do a fancy tripple pogo rocketjump to mid when you can just walk there with the medic and out aim the guy that spent most of his time practicing rocketjumps? Mastering the basics is what makes good players, not that advanced crap. Remember that

Getting faster to mid is always better. If you get there first, you can gain the high ground and territory advantage. Mastering the basic makes you a good player, mastering that advanced crap makes you a even better player.

True but still. What would you rather a "noob" learn first? I can't tell you how many times I see someone rocket jump well but falls short in the aim department. Basics>Advanced IMO.
