Is soda popper the best scattergun
I randomly got it yesterday, and I wonder if it is good or not. Please give helpful opinions for me!

It's good for jumping, especially with winger. Oh and it fires faster and reloads faster, so you can shoot 2 fast shots. However, it only has 2 shots per clip, so beware

Baby Face's Blaster and the Stock Scattergun are probably the best all things considered, but the Soda Pooper is pretty fun.

It used to be a beast for MvM, but now it's garbage. D: If you like jumping, though, and fast firing in not-MVM maps, go wild. I'll never really get over the nerf the Soda Popper got, but I do admit it's kinda fun to leap over the bridge at 2Fort with all of my Hype jumps.

It depends on your playstyle
If you don't like the weapon gimmicks, Default
If you like to ambush, Force-a-Nature
If you like speed, Baby Face's Blaster
If you like to jump a lot, Soda Popper
If you like to keep a good range from others, but want decent damage, Shortstop

Well, you don't "earn" weapons, you find them randomly unless if you get an achievement milestone, but the soda popper isn't a weapon you get from achievement milestones so you didn't exactly "earn" it, just got it randomly as we all do.

Anyway, it's an interesting weapon, so you might give it a shot, and if you think you're doing worse when you use the soda popper, go back to the stock scattergun and see if it improves.

Ever since I saw someone equate it to mutating the Scout into Kirby, I've been inclined to call it the best weapon ever.

stock scattergun is the best

this explains the sound scout makes when he jumps with that thing

In my opinion the scatter is but it really depends on your play type :/

You're thinking of the Force'A'Nature. The Scout milestone weapons are:
Force'A'Nature
Sandman
Bonk! Atomic Punch

It used to be the best, until Valve killed it by removing the Minicrits. Sigh.
There goes my favourite Scout weapon, for both normal play and MvM.

The additional jumps they have now given it are pointless.
All-purpose speaking, we have the Force of Nature, Winger or Atomizer.
In MvM, we have the jump height upgrades anyway, and you dont need more than 2 jumps at most to dodge even the most intense walls of rockets.

The minicrits gave the Scout a more damage-focused loadout in MvM whilst still being able to run around and collect money, albeit without the utility of equipping the Force of Nature for example. But that additional jump was rarely useful in MvM anyway.

There was a lot of skill involved in timing your minicrit deployment correctly. Scout feels flat and boring to me now, with the only things to manage being throwing your Mad Milk every time it recharges or occasionally running in to slap a robot with the Fan of War. Or maybe use a Sandman ball.

I am primarily talking about MvM by the way. I dont play much regular TF2 anymore.
I just utterly hate the incredibly slow reload and firing speed of the default Scattergun.
So I've switched to mostly using the Shortstop. But its not the same.
