Give the sapper some love?
I recently realized the sapper doesn't actually have that many alternate weapons. The only one is the red-tape recorder, which isn't stupidly interesting. How about some ideas for a new one? I was thinking of one focused on support rather than destruction for spies not focused on killing off engies. Effectively, it is a personal teleportation device that can only be detected via a small visual difference, and does not show up on the engies HUD. If used on a teleporter, it allows the spy to at any time teleport to the teleporter exit. If used on a dispenser, health and ammo will be fully restored one time upon activation, and if used on a sentry, it allows the spy to teleport the sentry into some unknown dimension where the engineer cannot follow, stopping the sentry gun from firing, being damaged or being repaired for a few seconds (unless the sentry was being sapped, in which case it will continue taking damage). Would anyone use this/rightfully think this is overpowered, and what could be changed?

How about a sapper which makes all devices run at 30% efficiency, slowly does damage, and turns the machines to the spies side?...the GIMPED sentires (30% track speed, and fire rate, so very easy to dodge) will attack the enemy team until it is either desapped, or the sentry is destroyed. Dispensers will heal the spies team before they blow up, and teleporters will be reversed. (exits will send the spies team to the entrance, enabling a huge push forward).

Would need a pretty hefty downside, perhaps less moving speed, but could be quite amazing.

Hmm. The sentry would be the only useful one of those. If it only worked on sentries and the sentry required a few seconds to start up, it may work with a few tweaks.

Funny, but there are literally only 3 official sappers in the game, one of them being the cosmetic wheately one, which is kinda why I made this discussion.

Yeah, good point XD

Though I doubt we would ever get a alternate version of the PDA. Still, I'd like one.
