How do you make the game EXTREMELY smooth?
I want the game to run extremely smooth, talking 'bout 60 fps.

get a good machine, I get around 150+ fps according to fraps

Click "Options" at the bottom of the main menu, click "Video", and then "Advanced" and work from there.

a big jump in fps would be to lower your resolution and if you have widescreen on, turning it into normal would boost your fps by alot as long as you dont mind not having the game fill your entire screen

Pyrovision decreases fps, not boost it.

You could try typing in the console "mat_phong 0" without the quotes.
