New Sniper Secondary Weapon Idea
So I saw a post just recently about an SMG sniper idea. The SMG idea sucked, and I thought I'd correct this by posting my OWN idea.

The Aussie's Automatic
+200% magazine size
+10% fire rate
+1 extra magazine
-30% damage penalty
No Random Critical Hits
-50% crit damage

What do you guys think about this idea? Would you like to see this item in game? Why/why not? What do you think needs to be fixed/tweaked for balance issues?

The extra magazine is just a extra ammo buff in disguise,and so is the +200% magazine size,just say a extra 250% ammo instead,and it's still INCREDIBY OP.
How about 150% extra ammo,-50% damage,No random crits(That's good),but a extra 50% weapon switch speed as long as you have it equipped.

I know, but I'd like to specify the magazine as being larger. But yeah, that could work to simplify it.

You're looking for clip size. From what I gather, you want 75 bullets per clip instead of 25 and 300 ammo carried.

That feels like way too much.

What people that post SMG suggestions don't get is that the SMG is a secondary, which means "second, less important than the first". As for the -50% crit damage, you often don't see a crit sniper. TL;DR, too OP.

Actually it just means its item slot is secondary.
Honestly I don't think the sniper needs a new smg. If you're doing your job right, you shouldn't need an smg. And if you get caught and have to pull out your smg, then the stock one is perfectly fine for that.

It's in the secondary slot because it's less important than the Sniper Rifle.

While I can completely agree with that statement, I also think it's time he gets a cool new weapon, though. The Classic was kinda a flop.

Not really, if the smg is to the sniper that the pistol is to the engie, then why not have that much (engie gets 200 extra ammo for his pistol).

It doesn't, but that doesn't mean it needs a sniper to shift his attention to the SMG rather than the Sniper Rifle.

So those SMG commando snipers have to use a different weapon.
And engies primary is his shotgun, doesn't stop him from getting way to much extra ammo for the gun he uses to pick off farther away targets/ones that are weakened.

Engie's primary is essentially his sentry though.
