Is The Pomson 6000 Unbalanced?

Alright, let me clarify, is the Übercharge drain unbalanced? Its such a spammable weapon with realy weird hitboxes that can make a loss of 6 seconds of Charging every shot. Personally I dont think its that bad, but let me know what you think.

Not really, but its banned from competitive because you can have the Engi target the Medic and slow down his Ubercharge.

Nah, the penetration removed fixed it.
With the large hitboxes of the medic's pocket(probably) it should be hitting them instead of the medic.
Plus, it fairly slow moving, so a medic with some competent dodging skills can avoid losing his ubercharge.

Its only op if said engie is good and can target down a medic. Its banned in comp because engies in there can aim AND are good enough to target down a medic. Also in pubs teams can win without uber pushes.

If you are a medic healing somone and a engi is that close (and not already dead) then that just means you are bad. What I mean by that is, if somone is so close to you thats its realy simple and easy to hit you, there is no exuse for that engi being alive. Any class that the medic would be healing besides maybe sniper or spy, (that should not be on the front anywhey) could kill the engi easily.

It's not really unbalanced in my opinion, but there are some things I think valve could do to make it less of a ♥♥♥♥♥ to fight. Such as, making the reload time longer, or lowering the clip size. And for god's sake, change the projectile model, that thing is so hard to see coming at you in parts of some maps.

But all in all, the purpose of the pompson is to help the engie protect his buildings. Draining uber = less of a chance that the enemy can uber in and destroy his sentry. Cloak drain = easier to find spies that might sap your sentry.

Yes, it's unbalanced. Very poorly designed ontop of that. It's pretty much undodgeable at close ranges if the Engineer is semi-competent from how large the hitbox for it is. 1 time I was right beside a Engineer and his pomson beam STILL hit me.
