Weapon Idea
Am icethrower, an ice thrower is a like a flamethrower but it doesn't freeze people it slows people down. If the icethrower get's a critical, the opponent get's frozen

Freezer
+50% ammo
Speed of enemies caught in flame is 40% slower
Afterburn causes no damage but slows enemies down
-25 health
15% fire vulnerability
No critical kills

Maybe some gas canister launcher for a demo primary.

-4 shots per clip
+the canisters roll like normal grenades
+canisters activate after 1.5 seconds releasing a poison cloud that lasts for five seconds.
+released gasses poison targets (similar to afterburn but will stay with you until you pick up a health pack).
+poison damage is the same as degreaser afterburn
+staying within the gas canister does 10 dmg per second.
+poison effect is 5 dmg per second.
-A poison cloud can not stack with another, no double dmg, triple dmg, etc.
-Impact damage reduced to 10.
-does not explode on contact, just bounces off
-cannot random crit or be crit boosted. Crit boosts are reduced to mini crits.
+poison clouds do not activate dead ringer, still does damage.
-50 max primary ammunition

It would only be useless because of how powerful the other pyro weapons are.

Slowdown effects are annoying mechanics to fight against.

And the fact that a slowdown weapon wouldn't work well with the Flamethrower's range.

Well honestly I like the ice weapon idea just to create a larger pyro support loadout. I honestly feel like with the right stats it could be something that isn't overpowered yet still useful.

Granted Natasha does less damage and takes longer to spin up. It was regarded to be so underused, that Valve had to slap on that ammo plus in a vain attempt for it to be useful.

That was more or less my point, slows aren't a annoying mechanic in TF2. Of course we don't have a good slow but meh.

How about another Engineer pistol that isn't a freakin' Lugermorph?

+100% damage, reduced damage falloff (75% instead of 50%)
-40% clip size, -40% firing speed, -30% max secondary ammo on wearer

"The Patton" (based on the M1911 Colt .45)

It's called prenerf Natascha, and it was probably one of the few unarguably overpowered weapons in the game. Slowdown mechanics are terrible and annoying to fight against. Bad players already complain about pyros now, and adding a flamethrower that would just be unfun to fight against is only going to make the complaints worst.

If the weapon is actually good and its upside is to slow the opponents, it's probably going to be annoying or very difficult to balance properly. Back when the Natascha was more useful, it was annoying to deal with.

People complain about pyro because of it's ability to melt through any class instantly through the backburner and the plo. Adding a weapon that does less damage and slows could work if the stats are messed around with. Though even if it would be "annoying" it wouldn't be alone. There are already plenty of "annoying" weapons outside of pyro.

i think it bee good whet a slow weapone but i think it shoudt effekt the weapons heal on self stuff like if you cerry the flamefrower around out. you shoudt resive less hels from a medic or heal pack. like its coold you regaine slower that kinda stuff.

+50% Secondary Ammo
+15 Extra Health on wearer
