idgaf, it feels good to get something out in the open, even if everyone ignores it
You too, huh?
Is that necessarily a bad thing?
riiiiiight
Axtinguisher nerf wasn't even needed but it shut the madsbads like you up, so I'm fine with it
Powerjack was the go-to weapon for not-shit Pyros even before the nerf anyways
that being said, the problem is that pyro doesn't actually have any really useful killing potential now
the only reasons to play pyro are either if your team needs somebody to sit around and m2 ubers/spam, or if you want to dump on pubbies with a degreaser+shotty/flare
Well making pyros play support more isn't bad, but it's not like weapon choice matters that much in pubs anyway.
Actually, i've rarely been killed by the pre-nerf axtinguiser pyro's.
But that might have something to do with me choosing the chargin' targe over the sticky launcher.
I used to main demoknight.
I agree with you. These combo pyros are wayy too effective. I think the flare gun should get a nerf too.
Eh, it may be a little broken at times, but the total damage is 90 for a crit, and considering you can only fire one flare at a time...... I dont really think it needs a nerf.
Just to clarify, it gave the class with the second worst mobility and trashiest base DPS in the game the opportunity to execute a fast-acting combo that two-hit-kills every class but the aforementioned – thereby bringing his lethality somewhat close to that of everyone else in the game.
Uhm... Bushwacka + Jarate combo? Massive range advantage? Stealth Tools? Revolver? Ambassador? No... And backstabbing mechanics use same hitboxes as an axtinguisher hit, except for the 180degree limit.
And with Pyro you had to be playing against potatoes who couldn't spot a slow moving and conspicuous Pyro waltzing up into melee range...
No, he couldn't. To get into melee range you have to move *through* every other class's lethal ranges.
Only works vs bads, as you can turn around and break the crit angle before the blow lands as soon as you're lit up.
Nah... I think I'll keep raising valid criticisms that have failed to be addressed, thanks. Especially if the people telling me not to are just bads who get slaughtered by Pyros...
