NEW UNSEEN SCAMMING WAY! NEVER SEEN UPDATE 2015/01/29
NEW UNSEEN SCAMMING WAY! NEVER SEEN UPDATE 2015/01/29

Okay so recently I've been doing some searches on outpost.tf and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.com
I didn't knew witch place i should place this so i'll just put it here.
So basically it goes like this.
A person puts a trade saying: (Actuall post)

" I don't play CS:GO no more, so I would like to get ONE RARE Steam background called
Strife Veteran Edition If you already got it or if u can get it, then i would trade this background for Ak-47 Wulkan. Worth 30euro

http://steamcommunity.com/market/listings/753/317040-Strife%20Veteran%20Edition

My steam market is closed and i dont have a credit card and i cant buy that background.
If you got the background, then you can send me trade offer!"

So basically, they promise you to buy them a backround witch is rare in drop rate.
As you might see, there is only one person buying that backround witch is let's say
15 euros. The item they promise you to give is in this case a AK-47: Vulcan witch is 30euros.
You buy off the backround with your funds and send them or trade them, and they simply say, " I Changed my mind, i don't want it"
And that's it, there's nothing you can do. Catch is. That person has 2 accounts. The one that you bought of backround with your real money, is converted to his Main account. Leaving you, without a 30eu ak and 15euros you had in your wallet. And there is nothing you can actually do in this kind of situation to get your money back. Clean and Safe from scammers perspective.

So have this one in mind, because from seeing a chance of multiplying your money can end with you loosing most of it.

Keep the Steam Trading Community clean guys. Report all new scamming ways everywhere.

Hope this helps someday ^^

I've known about this, there's many times I could've got scammed where I didnt though. I was taking a risk every time I bought an item from a person to sell it to a different person that wanted it.

That's an old technique just switched up.

A long while back I saw people in trade servers selling something like a bills hat for a somewhat rare regular hat.

They would have a friend with the item in the server then he will sell it overpriced.

Etc etc, someone buys it for overpriced price and the guy is no longer selling the bills.

Problem is, his alt was the only one selling it, and for massive overprice.
