Team Fortress 2
You know what sucks?
I dont know if this was brought up somewhere else, I searched but found nothing.
Even it is a minor problem which has no influence on the gameplay whatsoever, it f*****g sucks that you dont see parts of alternative clothing in the game itself. As an example, I use the spooky sleeves for the Scout, but ingame you still see the old skin, with the white bandage gloves. Thats cheap.

Do you mean that it has no influence on the first person model, or am I just not getting your point?
When you are playing the game, you always see the arms and hands of your model holding/firering/reloading your weapon. And they doesn´t change, depending on what clothing you are wearing. When you are wearing a Long- Sleeve you should be able to actually SEE the sleeves. But the graphics always stay the same. Thats cheap.

Ah, so you are talking about the first person models. Okay, then.

Given the fact that TF2 is working off Valve's dinosaur of a game engine, I wouldn't be surprised if it was the engine preventing FP models from being modified so easily.
I know that the games engine is old, but its still disapointing.

Thx for your advise anyway.
You could try to modify the game's models. See, the FP view is actually 3D, and appearing infront of your camera. However, the way other people view you is actually much different. They don't see floating arms and a Shotgun, they see a Soldier right there.

It's wierd, buuuuutttt it works.

Paste into console:
cl_first_person_uses_world_model 1
After you respawn, you will see your body as everyone else sees it. The downside is that most weapons are off the screen (e.g. the shotgun is at waist level, the bat is way off to your side, etc.), though you can see them if you move your camera a little bit.
