CoD. No contest.
I forgot all about CoD. Okay, thread over, we have a winner.
Whats about League of Legends? Haha
2. CoD's the one game where I have to always have to use voice changers because NO ONE can deal with the fact that the opposite gender plays video games as well.
3. Almost all of the games I've been in had a voice chat like this.
Person1:You just got headshot, you ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ little motherbitch piss piss piss etc. Nah nahna na nah na!
P2: SHUT UP!!!
P1: U mad bro? U mad?
*P2 headshoots P1*
P1: ♥♥♥♥ u you ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ HAXX0RING LITTLE ♥♥♥♥♥!
P2: Trol olo olo olo olo
P1: Shut up!
P2: No, you!
P1: No, you!
P2: No, you!
P3: BOTH OF YOU, STFU!
P1: No, you stfu!
Now imagine that ^ for the whole game. And everyone's voice is a dog whistle.
TL;DR: CoD's a game to only be played with friends. For sanity's sake.
This is something I (surprisingly) disagree on.
I've played some CoD when my schoolmates were hyped about it and suggested I should play it as well. Now of course you have that corner in the community that consists of little disrespectful kids. But I also met a lot of mature or quiet players who just enjoyed the game.
I think one of the reasons is that I live in Europe (Netherlands) and the community in Europe is somewhat more grown-up than America's (no offense).
What about TF2, you ask?
The problem with the TF2 community is, you have two types of players dominating the scene:
1. The immature, unexperienced and reckless F2P players that simply don't know better than to shoot to kill. They have barely experience of TF2 and do not fully comprehend the mechanics and tactics the classes of TF2 offer. Most of them are quiet though, which is a pro. But it's annoying to play with them as they can't catch up with more experienced players, this quickly makes the teams unbalanced.
2. The self-centered "rich" players. A lot of hats, more interested in their looks and status than having fun in the game itself. They have somewhat standard miscs and hats; the most expensive ones. Sometimes an unusual or two. They think they are more worthy than others by judging of what others (do not) own qua miscs, hats, weaponry with certain qualities, etc. They can be easily enraged when they are either on the losing side or are dominated by a specific player. They blame others or cuss at the enemy team for their loss.
Now of course you also have the mature, kind and just-want-to-play-and-enjoy-the-game types, F2P or not. They are rather quiet. Sadly this part of the community is seeming to shrink..
So... Well, this is my opinion. Agree or disagree, it's all about personal perspective anyway. :P
"You have to rank up more than 1000 hours in expert campaings to get decent."
These guys have no concurention. Entire community of trolls trolling trolls while trolling aboout trolls who troll trolls.
On the other note, I quite like community of Frozen Synapse. I suck at it, but guys keep saying GG, and occasionally even throw a tip.
I am not ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ in games or on the internet but I absolutely do not mind others being ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Bad communities are often the best source of comedy.
