TF Comics #3
So I'm very confused. I thought it was canon that TFC Engi was TF2 Engi's dad. Why would he be there with the other TFC members to fight the TF2 cast?

Why the hell do people think that TFC characters have any connection with TF2 characters? The only relative that was in the TF wars was dell, which is the engie's GRANDPA who is DEAD.

There's a picture from the Engineer update that has what seems to be a young Dell and the Engineer from TFC.

It's probably a different TFC engineer, but there might be some canonical conflicts going on.

Yes we realize this. However, there might be changes canonically with the new comics coming up. Nobody is sure, though.

Well, there's only really one TF2 team now, since they combined as of A Fate Worse Than Chess. There's a lot of canonical conflicts.

Doesn't the wiki state that the Engineer Dell was with as a child simply someone he looks up to and is just a possibility that he's his dad? Not to mention complicated family relationships can make a father turn on his son and vice versa.

Pretty much this.

The TF2 story isn't too big on continuity. For example, the Demoman's bio implies he lost his eye as an orphan while trying his hand at making bombs, but the comics reveal he lost his eye to the Bombinomicon when his Mom made him go looking for work at the age of 7.
