Stock. Heater will just force spies to jump and "hue" at you after the backstab while the Tomi was a good ambushing weapon... Was~

The stock Minigun is generally the best, since it's reliable on both defense and offense. The Heater can be useful on defense if there's a dispenser nearby. On offense in Payload, the Heater can also be useful. The Tomislav can be good if your enemies are decent, but it's weaker than stock against prolonged battles or against heavies using the stock Minigun. The Tomislav is mainly useful on defense, but a good heavy against an enemy team that's actually decent can make effective use of the Tomislav. However, the Tomislav suffers heavily from the previously mentioned weaknesses, which will most likely be present often for offensive heavies. If your enemies are bad enough that the silent rev isn't useful, there's little reason to use the Tomislav.

I agree. I also always seem to aim better with it for some reason.

Stock is the best
Hue just wastes ammo
Valve seems to think the community likes the tomislav because most F2P's equip it.

Stock is the best overall
Huo is good if you are spy paranoid, but wastes ammo for the ring effect
Tomislav just sucks.
Brass Beast is an awesome deffensive minigun, but is also poor at offensive because of the movement speed penalty and spin up time.
Nastasha sucks, but is better than Tomislav
Iron Curtain is a Stock Reskin.

Iron Curtain is a Stock Reskin.

The Tomislav is probably better than both the Brass Beast and the Natascha. An immobile heavy is very vulnerable and relies on his teammates to survive. This also applies to heavy in general, but the Brass Beast makes the heavy even more reliant on his teammates than he already is. The upside is small and hardly that significant. If a heavy wants to be defensive, he should only be using the Brass Beast if the enemy is already aware of his presence, since the Tomislav would be better if the enemy was unaware that the heavy is there. The Brass Beast should also only be used if the heavy plans on being purely defensive because attempting to push and attack retreating enemies isn't going to work with the Brass Beast. The Natascha's only main use is to stop enemy players from explosive jumping and scouts. Aside from that, the other miniguns are much better.

True enough, but the slower firing rate lowers the DPS of the Tomislav for an upside that makes no sense. After all, the biggest class in the game isnt exactly built to be stealthy no matter what you give him. You could arguably sneak behind enemy lines and use it with the GRU, but you risk dying due to Minicrits, and you do not have the damage Stock would give you to back it up. You could spin up the Tomislav much faster due to the decreased spin up time, but the lower DPS means that it is less useful on a Heavy vs Heavy situation, even if you spin your gun up before he does.

The Nastasha actually isnt just useful for explosive jumping enemies and scouts. It is actually good at medium ranges and slightly farther because it slows down movement speed significantly, to the point where scouts are unable to run away, or any class for that matter. Sure, the same arguments for the Tomislav apply here, but at least the upside is actually useful half of the time.

The Brass Beast turns the heavy into a living breathing sentry gun that can move. Combine it with a dispencer, and you can easily dominate unless a sniper or a spy is involved. I already said that the Brass Beast is poor on offense and chassing enemies, but with the additional damage it is better for a heavy on heavy situation if you already have your gun spun up. You could probably take out a Heavy medic combo if you get the jump on them with it too due to the increased damage.

Professional versions of the tomislav and huo long are affordable, which gives them a boost.

It depends on the user, they can all be effective, just depends on skill and judgement, I've seen people get kill streaks galore with any of them while I've been medic.

Huo long just encourages you to keep on that killing to stay filled with ammo.

Huo long professional starts at 13 bucks

Pretty good colors and effects.

Tomislov starting at 12

Starting price is arbitrary, because its jsut a matter of which had the lowest priced one sell recently.

Huo Long is better for payload or a server full of spies
