10th class proposal:

Robomancer :

Name: Olivia Mann (after the Gray Mann/MvM story arc ends)
Location of Origin: Unknown
Job: Mechanized Support
Motto: "Tools before Fools!"
Special Ability: Money
Emblem: 10-Tooth Cog
Relationships: Girlfriend of Pyro, Fan and Student of the Engineer.
Hair color: Strawberry Blonde dye on Black Hair
Loves: Pasteries, Salons, and Hair-dressing
Description: After the the war with the robots, Olivia seemed to have lost all purpose and hope in life, but found friends in the Mercinaries after being abandoned by her father, she picked up their trade and took well to her adoptive family with her love of tinkering with robots. Her intellect and resistance made "one of of the boys" and an invaluble member.


Primary: Lever-action/Break-barrel Rifles
Secondary: Structures (Produces destructible walls, platforms, or defences with limited uses, and self-destruct due to use/damage)
Melee: Tire Iron/Crowbar Combo or Air Rachet
PDA: Menu To deploy team-colored non-repairable robots based on 3 MvM robot-types with version costing more money to build, and more time to build advanced robots. Robots can not be built faster, but have 20% resistance to damage. No more than 2 robots can be deployed.


Robots have 25% health of mimicked class. (Ex.: Robot Heavy has 75 health, Robot Soldier has 50 health.) Robots have a team-colored Heart on Robot's Left shoulder, with brightness being an indicator of health.

Most expensive version of robots take up to 5 seconds to construct to most expensive version of robot.
Cheapest version of robots take 3 seconds to construct.

Enemy Robots are 30% less aware of Robomancer

Stats:

Health: 150

Overheal: 225
w/Quickfix:185

Speed: 95%, unless buffed

Money: $500

Voice commands: Rich Girl Bratty Aggression/ Innocent Angel Sadness

Well, Valve would feel a little happier about their robot AI getting to fight itself and people in new enviroments, as they could use that data to improve MvM as well. Also, yeah, BL2 reference as well, but with a Lady that likes class and complements all the classes, while being a threat in her own right. Plus, her being the girlfriend of the Pyro still pushes the gender gag even further.

Personally, i like the idea, but there's a few things that will bug either me or a lot of people.

1: A lot of people always say that there needs to be 2 other classes if there is going to be a new class included, or else.. i don't know, they seem to act OCD about the attack defense and support thing..

2: People would mostly prefer that some things should just be sticked to other classes instead of making a completely new class. For example, your idea would fit the engineer more if olivia wasn't part of it (but nobody can combine MERASMUS with other classes. mwahahaha....)

3: Girlfriend of pyro..?

4: What if money was replaced with metal? I mean, if it was Mvm, people would most likely mistaken building money for upgrade money, and gameplay-wise, everyone drops metal items, not money.

5: Peoople would flip out for having a girl on the team.

How about MvM game mode that takes Valve origonal idea of having a player captain at open-world view and mix it with your idea? Team collects money while you use it to create bases and robots or some ♥♥♥♥?

Demo was never meant to be a Mellee focused class.

They stopped the team captain ideo because of the amount of power that player had, plus no more than one would be of use: and who decides who is the boss?

And Olivia should not require a huge rack, no larger than C cup (keeping classy and slim together). She should also get along well with the Pyro, as it would be kind of funny when working together, but sad and apologetic when she gets the other team's pyro.

Not quite. She is slower than the engie, not as safe at CQC vs other classes, an Ubered anything is bad news to all bots, when Robomancer is Ubered, the robots are not. The Sniper can hit with ease, a single skillful scout can out power 2 robot heavies, and the Robomancer. Demos can demoknight most robots to death. Robot versions are more expensive for more efficient/powerful robots, but take time to deploy. How is this overpowered?

Umm 2 heavys running at you she has 150 health is SLIGHTLY slower than engi list goes on.
