TF2 Item Prices Aren't Real!!!!!!!!!
Valve didn't make how much an items value is in trade the community did.So that means buds, keys, and unusuals yes unusuals don't have a price. That means you make up how much your item is worth in other words you can lower the prices it is not sharking because there are no specific prices for items.

While this is true, inflation would like a word.

Will someone sell you their rare hat for a lower price than everyone else? No, they want to make a profit. People will not sell for prices currently underneath the price range, unless EVERYONE stopped buying them at that price. At the same time, people will not buy for overpriced weapons, until the others start selling that high.

Well you can sell it for a high price or a low price that is what this is about you set your own items price not someone else or the community.

You can set it at a different price, yes, but no one will touch it.

It is your item if they don't like the price find someone else who'll trade for that price.

Example:Me:I'll trade you a strange for your genuine ap-sap.
Random guy:No 2 keys.
Random Gut#2:I like that price I'll trade with you.

Thing is, no one will trade for that price unless they don't know about the prices. Otherwise known as; sharking.

Everyone sensible already knows this.
Everyone sensible already knows that they would fail in trading if they tried to profit like this.
I have my own prices, but I usually get "ripped off" all the time. I don't realy care. lol.

I love when people say sharking, because honestly, sharking is no real offense. It may be looked down upon, but it is not evil by any means c:

Example#2:Me:I'll trade you a robot running man for your vintage football helmet and soda popper
Player:How about your robot running man for my football helmet
Me:OK

Making a profit =/= Sharking.

It becomes sharking when you:

A) Hunt down (like a shark) and pressure (like a shark's dorsal fin sticking out? idk :P) an inexperienced trader into selling you an item for a disadvantageous price; AND
B) Have that price be over 1 unit of whatever you're dealing in (ref, buds, keys).

Those are my self-restrictions, anyways.

there are no official prices in real life either.

It doesn't change my point much. People still look down on sharkers, yet they are doing no real crime.
