DEMONS NEED THE JUMPS TOO!
i think that the scottish resitance weapon should have a "crits when sticky jumping" perk because otherwise its just a borng bottle that adds nothing nteresting..there isnt even a strange version of it

Scottish resistance a bottle? Do you mean the scottish handshake?

That's just a reskin. It's supposed to be the same as stock.

Yep. Demons using the Scottish Resistance as a bottle should be able to jump. Volvo plox fix.

... Now to kick this discussion off: IMO, that would reduce the usage of the Caber by a lot. Also, do you get self-damage from the Caber when you have the Sticky Jumper equipped? I know it works with the sui taunt on the pickaxes whilst holdling the Rocket Jumper.

You still take self damage from the caber and the rocket jumper no longer prevents you from dying by those taunt kills.

The Sticky Jumper never removed self explosive damage since demo has explosive primaries, so no. Only reason Rocket Jumper removed self explosive damage is because soldier's primary are his only explosive weapons. Also, that doesn't work anymore. You now die from the equalizer/escape plan taunt regardless of having the jumper equipped or not.

You don't. Also, a few months ago, they stopped the RJ from saving you in Kamikaze.

Oh, the SJ did... prior to July 2011, specifically.

Before then, you could do silly things like SJ + caber or SJ + point-blank pipes without exploding yourself.

You did an alright job at making a proper discussion out of plain gibberish. I commend you for that.

Not sure if the Scottish Handshake really needs changing. Reskins rarely get promoted to sidegrade weaponry.

But, in all fairness, most reskins don't get promoted because they're promotionals. The AWP, Maul, Apocos(although you can now gib), Three-Rune, Pan and the Fishcake are ALL promotional reskins. The only reskins that aren't are the Spy's commonly-censored YER reskin, the Bat Outta Hell, the Memory Maker/Saxxy(although they're arguably promoting Saxxy entries), the Postal Pummeler, the Nine Iron, the Peg Leg Thingy and the Scottish Handshake.

Take out those that weren't related to the seasons in any way, shape or form. the YEReskin and the BOH were Halloween, the MM/Saxxy are for Saxxy Season and the Postal Pummeler/Nine Iron were part of the Summer Sale. What does that leave?

The Handshake and its set-mate, which were released on TF2's Anniversary. Now, that set (Swashbuckler's Swag) is completely cosmetics and reskins. And the SH doesn't exactly remind me of a pirate's bottle. I think more like a rusky old flask. But that's just me. So why don't we differentiate it further from its stock cousin?

Jump crits would just kill you pretty fast, and probably doesn't even add any knockback.

Well, I wouldn't be 100% opposed to Demo getting his own version of the Market Gardener. Although it'd be kinda weird to have two different weapons for two different classes have the same effect, so we'd have to add some kind of Demo-exclusive bonus to set it apart. (I have an idea to boost the Caber's SJ-ing potency, but that's for another thread... unless someone else asks me for it :P)

And keep in mind that it's also supposed to be in a pirate set, so perhaps something related to a pirate's actions? Or maybe even it could be used as a molotov? ("A sober person wouldn't throw this/A sober person would drink this")
