Most new pyros just use the phlog and only the phlog, and they never learn to get any better or more tactical as pyro than holding down the M1 button.

Basically what I'm getting at is it encourages bad habits.

Degreaser is a crutch weapon though, and along with axtinguisher and flare gun it's basically just crit-everything combo.

Stock is and always will be the master race.

The Phog is a lot of fun, and the lack of air blast more than compensates for the heal and crits. A good soldier can waste you quickly, crits or no.

The phlog is pretty tough to use, well in my case it is. I really rely on airblasting a lot, so the lack of airblast really makes the phlog a difficult weapon for me to use. So, I'll just stick with stock.

Airblast? Illogical.

Airblast is one of pyro's most useful utilities, and you're gimping yourself when you're not taking advantage of it. Against any good soldier or demo you're pretty much doomed from the start. Really any class, to be honest. If they know how to walk backwards, they can easily avoid you. Especially since pyro is one of the least mobile classes in the game.

Most of the slower classes, save for the heavy, have some way of getting around faster. Soldier can rocket jump and demo can sticky jump. Of course they'll wreck you before you even get close enough anyways. Seriously, go and try to play phlog against competent players. Tell me how you feel then. :P

Hate the Phlog. Its not OP. I just think its a cheap Ass weapon. It encourages the Pyro to W+M1 all over the place and thats the main reason I hate it.

That, and when the Phlog Pyro taunts with a full 'Mmmph!' meter, They get that totally needed damage resistance...
