Scottish resistance, it forces you to play demo like the defensive class he was designed to be.

Stocks best in normal gameplay, but Scottish Resistance is better in MVM.

Much like how heavies cannot be used to push and pyros must be used to W+M1 because they were designed originally without airblast.

Stock is more versatile and generally better because it takes less gamesense to get to work and works well offensively, while sco-res can be used more effectively the user really needs a fair deal of skill in trapping to get it to work on par, and can't do anything but trap nearly as well.

I'd really love the ScoRes, if it weren't for the fact that it blows up the bombs beneath my feet. It's completely defeating the purpose of a selective-detonation weapon, if it doesn't allow you to safely walk arond your own minefield.

Not saying he can't or shouldn't be used offensively, he's got a grenade launcher for that. A sticky launcher places traps, which by their very nature are defensive.

It's called winbombing. Not so hard to pull off M1+M2 to victory. You're right that it's the better weapon, but it's also an unbalanced piece of ♥♥♥♥.

I've always thought of offensive stickies and grenades to be two counterparts. You can go for riskier, more immediate damage or more random spam that can go around corners with grenades, or you can go for safer but slower damage that stays where you shot it.

A class being able to be effective without a lot of skill is pretty common. Especially since 99% of the time when a demoman uses stickies well offensively it's because the enemy couldn't adjust to him.

And trust me, I play demoman a lot. First placed team in iron 6s as of writing this. I can hit pipes pretty well but take away stickies' offensive capabilities and hell, I may as well be playing soldier. The matches I do I'm doing a bit worse than my team's pocket consistently, and taking away my some of my potential isn't making things more balanced from my view.

lol. Cheese with your wine sir?

God forbid a weapon be effective in more then one roll. Would there be any reason to play as demo if you are on Dustbowl offence? Sure you'll get a few kills with the launcher but you will just be killed over and over and never help your team. Unless you can aim very well being that it's easy to dodge. You would have to land more then 80% of your shots to even be worth being there.

Also no more uber demos to take out sentrys. Sounds like you have an even slower game. Thats boring.

Stickies are literally the easiest thing to dodge in TF2. If you can't do it, then you need to get closer. If you can't get closer, you need to think of how to get closer. If you can't do that, I don't know what to say.

I don't see how being locked down into a certain playstyle over being more versitile in offense and defense equals better.
Stock is overall more versatile and better in my opinion-the SR is slightly more specialised.
