New to this forum ( or at least on steam )

so, I know there's probably a better forum for this but I know this one is ( hopefully ) more active than the help one.

So, first things first, i can say a bit about my foruming past:
I am not a newbie to foruming, I've been forming for a while now and know the lingo. I am also a frequenter of r/tf2, so I'm not blind to other said things

here's the main questions:(TL;DR)
•can i customize the way the threads are shown (e.g: newest first, popular first)
•any things I should avoid asking or doing
•how active is this subforum

1. You can search but afaik you cannot.
2. Someone will probably make up a list of things people too commonly make threads about. Just avoid things that are very common and don't necro by even two weeks generally (unless it's something like a help thread that's still unresolved and you have the same problem).
3. Very, some days I can comment on something, and in that time I'll miss five other threads being made.

the only thing that irks me is the fact that GD has only 5k threads.
And GD is usually popular & tf2's been around for a while.

and on the topic of necrobumping, you guys must hate that wow.

Anyways, as for question number 2, heres your list:

Weapon ideas.
New class ideas.
Adverstement for your video/group.
Troll threads made for pissing people off.
Weapon balancing thread,
Class balancing thread.
Threads for crying over something.
Threads w/o a meaning.
Dont spam videos.
Dont derail.
Dont troll.
Dont necro threads from 2 weeks ago.
Dont have bad grammar.
If you see an obvius troll, post 0/10, try harder and move on.
DO NOT FEED THE TROLLS.
And at the very end.
Never. Question. Our moderation system.

Also, never report anyone. ever. That is an act of asshoelism and is highly disencouraged as it gets your forum friends banned.

Of course, the mods wouldn't need reports if they could moderate the forums manually.
Then again steam doesn't even moderate its own games/what games it puts into its store, much less some forums yelling about hats, gibuses, pyros, bad trades and the lack of weapons

Rules are in the stickies. Aside from the rules that apply to -all- the Steam Community discussions, notice that there is a trading subforum and all trading posts belong there, not in the main forum.

It's a very *active* forum, but much of it is all heat, no light.
