Hat effects?
I wasn't around when the hats had special effects like resistances and such, I'd just like to know what the effects were. no trolls please

Are you talking about set bonuses, or hats having properties?

Pretty sure they never did on their own.

I think he means the sets.

Yeah, there were bonuses if you wore hat in addition to certain weapons (e.g. Attendant+Powerjack+Degreaser), but they were removed last summer.

Solaire of astora was so kind to write the bonuses down in a post a few scrolls down.

Certain loadouts like the Gas Jockey for the pyro (Degreaser, Powerjack, Attendant) would give you a benefit like faster movement speed, but those benefits were shifted to the weapons instead or removed altogether

If you mean the bonuses, I'll try to remember.

Milkman set for scout gave you +25 health
Tank buster set gave you resistance to sentries
The pyro's gas jockey set made you faster at all times
The croc-o-style kit made you immune to headshots
The saharan spy made decloaking virtually silent even with dead ringer
Hibernating Bear for heavy gave +5% crit resistance
The Expert's Ordnance for Demoman gave +10% fire damage resistance

It was only 20% resistance. Barely made a difference past a level 1 Sentry.
