Punch your monitor.

first dude you have to delete system32. This is really important as it is stupid useless stuff microsoft puts in their computer to make you think they are ruined when they get older (so you buy a new one of course).

after u delete this, your computer should run much better. It worked for me

May be traffic on THEIR side of the connection, remember those servers are connecting hundreds of people to the same server whilst your side its just you.

Here are options:

1. Get better connection
2. Get better PC
3. Do both
4. Don't listen to others and ask specialists for help.
5. Release HL3.

Depends on what lag you mean m8.

FPS or Connectivity?

This is how I reduced my lag (I'm not joking):

1. Enable console
2. Type mat_phong 0 into the console

This makes the graphics less shiny, but it helps.

Go to your wifi router and switch it off. Think about how much you use it, theres no suprise that its overworked as hell. Run a bath for it, give it a nice massage with scented candles... the nexrt day plug it back in and your connection will be good as new!
