Download again and lose stuff?
Hello, I am looking into getting a new computer. Will I have to download TF2 again and lose all my stuff on the new computer? Or just download the game and have all my items? Does this apply to other games also, like Guns of Icarus? If I have to lose my stuff, I will hold off.

You will have all your items since they are stored in the Steam Cloud, thus linked to your Steam account.

Does this count for my other games, like Guns of Icarus or Tactical Intervention

Steam is a cloud gaming platform. Make sure you have cloud sync enabled for all the games you want to store save files etc and they'll be available anywhere you sign into Steam.

And for TF2 and I think all multiplayer games you can't even have a local inventories, it's all online to prevent cheating whether you want it or not.

How can I check to make sure I have cloud enabled?

Since you're talking about online video games, your progress/items are pretty much recorded online. So whether you play the games on different computer every single day, you will still have your stuff intact.

If you don't feel like downloading a 14 GB game all over again, you can also backup the game onto an usb and install it onto the new computer.
