Why do all these Medics insist upon using the Quick-Fix & Vaccinator?
They're not as reliable as the stock or kritz, and try pushing into a nest with a Quick-Fix.

You're just not doing it right then.

Quick-Fix is good on Defense, Payload, and CTF, plus it charges faster, thus making it attractive to newer, more inexperienced Medics. As for Vaccinator, it charges extremely fast.

quick-fix > stock

it can overheal you, get you into combat faster, and help you focus on the whole team instead of one person

vaccinator? no clue

Soldiers and demos can destroy sentries while under the quick fixes uber heal with no problems. Well, maybe you couldn't but thats not my problem. Heavy could probably do it too with the right melee item equipped

Medic's job is to heal the team. Quick Fix is most effective healing weapon. Ergo, Quick Fix is good. Besides, if you're using stock on KoTH or Plr, you're not doing it right.

Depends on how they play.

I, as someone who would rather keep people alive and healthy than one guy invincible, goes in wielding the Crossbow, Quickfix/Vaccinator, and amputator/other saws

The Medic's job is only partially to heal team members, a Medic's biggest goal is to pop an effective uber to destroy either the other team's defenses or break the attacking team's lines, thus pushing them backwards. The Quick-Fix does fix quickly, but heavy fire on one target eliminates that bonus quickly. On an Ubercharge, however, you're quite literally and by every definition of the term invinsible. A Quick-Fix should be in the position it was pre-buff, it's a neat tool, but only use it if you have another Medic running an Ubercharge. Medics are few and far between in pubs, and when I do see one using a Medigun that can't push into the three sentries built on last point it makes me feel like they are wasting what they could be. It was good in 6s, where there was usually not enough firepower to eliminate the healing bonus. But in a 12 v 12 pub server with thousands of damage worth of spam rockets, pills, and bullets? That heal rate doesn't stand a chance in hell.

it's funn good guy. the krits greig is the just as less effective as the quick fix. and even then a uber charge is not needed to push, and it's pretty eaisly countered.

I am actually just assuccessful at taking out sentry nests with the quickfix then standard uber for one reason. Airblast immunity. Granted I have to watch my back and that of my heal target but all in all it can stand toe to toe with a regular uber.

Vaccinator is good if a sniper is constantly on your ♥♥♥ as his shot will do less damage no matter where it hits. Situational, but good for KoTH maps where you hopefully won't receive damage from more than 2 sources at once.

Quick fix heal rate isn't as great once you realize you can heal faster with the crossbow (faster than stock med gun, not quick fix, but its good enough.)

Vacinator is just annoying. And I would rather have krits / invincible than just resistance of one damage type

the medic can use bullet resist to push a sentry you have to have more confidence in those medics

This is actually the only reasonable arguement I can understand for the Quick-Fix.

One thing that makes the Quick-fix's "uber" great: Knockback Immunity (As tickles said)
You know those parts of payload, KOTH, CP and CTF that have some bottomless pit? Pyros aim that to throw ubered and kritted people on it, completely nullifying the pop. Quick-fix completly prevents that . Not only that but it's much easier to let your team alive because of it's fast healing. Considering that you exchange "immunity for 8 seconds option when ready" to "Focus on everyone being alive", "Super healing that it's only weakness is getting damaged by something higher than your health" AND "No pyros and explosives ruining it", The Quick-fix is an amazing Sidegrade.

BUT WAIT: THERE'S MORE

Quick-fix's best pocket is a Scout. Why? When you heal a Scout, your speed will become the same as his. You also get affected by Demo's charge ability, Rocket Jump and Sticky Jump. Fortunaly, you don't slow down if you heal a normal Demo, a Soldier and a Heavy

I can accept it as a sidegrade, but the Church of QF Medics who can't see any reason to use any other Medi-Gun for any situation, even pocketing and charging sentries, are becoming commonplace. A lvl. 2 Sentry Gun outdamages the uber heal rate by 30 damage, so one sentry will nullify the heal rate, and you can bet that when you run in you'll be shot at by a lot more things than one Sentry. With the regular pub last hold, you can expect at least two and as many (in extreme cases) as 4. Even flashing a regular uber between two or three people would have a hard time taking all that down. How could you manage it without being invulnerable?
