The most important tools you need to be a good sniper are the senses that you were born with. No amount of training can change those. If your senses are dull from the beginning, you'll never be a great sniper.
Inhuman or Aimbotic aiming skills
No lag
The ability to do 180 spins to headshot uncloaking spies.
Kills the team faster then they respawn.
Has hacks to let them see the whole screen instead of sniper beer tunnel vision.
Values cheating their way to winning over fun and fairness
Repeatably tries to headshot walls repeatably.
Doesn't know how to move or hide.

If you use the sydney sleeper, you're doing it wrong.

Prioritize your targets. Other snipers first. If they kill you, you can't do your job, and it puts your teamates at risk. Then medics. The team without a medic is usually the one that loses. Pretty much everyone else is fair game after that. (Obviously, high priority targets like ones with intel or any that are currently capping a point take priority.)

For dealing with other snipers; Do not stay scoped in for more than 1 second. Especially if they see you. As soon as you shoot, whether you missed or killed them, immdediately jump, and strafe. This will make you much harder of a target to hit if there's more than 1 sniper aiming at you. Do not ease your way out of a corner sniped it. If a sniper's on the other side, you will likely die instantly. Instead, jump out, quickscope in, and shoot. As far as how to aim and all that, that's something that cannot be taught, but rather learned from experience.

Sydney sleeper is only good when you're supporting the team

You could support them more by just killing the person you're targeting rather than covering them in Jarate.

Yes. And you can support your team by getting headshots, just like the Sniper is designed to do.

But I use the Croc-o-style kit! Is that bad? I also use Stock/Jarate/Buschwacka.

Then practice more. Headshotting a scout is only difficult if you're/they're lagging.

Stock+ Jarate + bushwacka is the best loadout, imo. The darwins shield doesn't have enough benefits over the jarate.

hmm, i wounder why a support class would ever want to support the team with a weapon based on support, just cant wrap my head around that.
i recomend just trying what feels best to you

Get a friend to help you, or go to random trade servers. There'll be plenty of scouts running around to headshot.
