VAC Mistake!

This morning, I was playing on a server, and this sniper killed me while cloaked and he headshot me every time. He said my moves were "Predictable". But now when I try to get on a server, it doesn't allow me to. It says I've been banned by VAC. I do not know how to hack TF2, I'm a normal Premium Member of the game. Is this VAC Ban permanent?

vac ban wouldnt be affected by this maybe you had something running ingame that wasnt allowed?

You'd have to appeal to Valve themselves. I'd say it's unlikely you would've been fully VAC banned without sufficient evidence - so either you're lying or something went *really* wrong somewhere down the line.

pleas don't sound so kind to a hacker. it's obvious he used some kinda hack. if he got ban for no reason, he wouldn't wouldn't have posted here, come up with a better story or maybe he is just a bored troll. GG.

So your saying I'm a headshot hacker, Happy Heavy? The last thing I imported into TF2 was a Flying Guillotine Reskin Mod, which was allowed. The Ninja Star reskin. was a workshop crreation which led to a link on how to install it. I don't think that's hacking.

VAC bans by checking your files.
You might've not installed it correctly, just contact steam support.

VAC bans are automated, and are triggered by detecting known cheat signatures or modified core game files on the computer which is signed into your account and connected to a VAC secured server.

They are also delayed - so the cheating that got flagged could've occured days, weeks, or even months before the ban came into effect.

Another player on a server who happens to be cheating can't cause you to be banned; funky servers can't cause you to be banned (although it might cause forumites to incorrectly assume you used SAM); approved mods, console commands, workshop stuff can't cause you to be banned.

No-one here can do anything about your ban; no-one cares if you're innocent or not. Account security is your own responsibility, so even if you were phished or hacked, that is still all on you.

They won't. This isn't the VAC forum, and even on the VAC forum they do not deal with specific appeals and actively lock out the threads of people who post them.

I don't see how you could misunderstand "no-one here can do anything about it" and misread it as "some random TF2 player here has the power of life-and-death over you and will wave a magic wand to make it go away".

Yes I have. I've known the person I gave my password to since 2nd grade (I am now in 6th), but he got his own account now, and he promised to not use my account again. By my friend's following statement, I changed my password just to make sure he would not mess with my account.
