Using Red-Tape-Recorder on minis knocks them out for longer, as Engies can't destroy them and thus can't place a fresh one for the duration. Forces them to either knock the sapper off, making them vulnerable, or wait.
Otherwise, maybe increase metal cost to 110, dunno.
They only have enough metal to deploy 2 in succession. If you're killing them in good time that means they have to get metal, which typically means a 10-second-wait for ammo to respawn.
If the Engy's constantly grabbing ammo-kits and weapon-drops, that's depriving ammo for the rest of his team; even assuming you can't just kill an Engy as a Soldier when you've got at least one DH rocket still in your pocket.
And from the situation where your team hasn't already just killed the mini-sentry themselves... So what, team-work can defend minis, but can't be used to kill them? Pfft...
Gross oversimplification. While it's building it is (since they fixed the health-gain glitch) very vulnerable to even light damage. Deploying minis requires metal, you can kill minis quicker than Engy can replenish metal.
(1) the range being the same as that of a full-size sentry, and
(2) the tiny hitbox making even htiting it with a rocket tricky, since anything other than perfect aim will cause the rocket to either hit the cliff front and do no damage, or sail over the mini into the sky and do no damage.
Next time, don't assume that the engineer is limited to dropping it right in front of you.
What usually happens in a game is that I spam sentries for maybe game or two, and then the people on the server catch on and kill my sentries before they finish building.
Next time, don't wait for a game or two to catch on, do it right away. Now that I've told you all this, I'll probably hae to kill you.
