What about bots.
I think there should be an option that you could select that caused the bots in offline to have random loadouts selected for them.It would make them less predictable and allow for better practice against those loadouts. What do you guys think?

I like this. Some items like the cow mangler are just hell to go against. Practicing againt this would be nice.

Doable for some, difficult for others. Some things would probably be too difficult for bots to use appropriately.

how would some be to difficult.

i like this post
I agree bots are practise but are painfully unrealistic and too dumb, so if they cant change the way they think at least change their loaduts.

at least put like a check box on the options screen.maybe only let that happen when its on expert.

play on normal servers.
problem solved.

thats not the point.what im saying is that when you just had a bad day or dont want to deal with ♥♥♥♥ admins that day,you can play bots.
and when a new player is having troubble against a certain class or weapon, they can practice with BOTS instead of players.

I like this. Some weapons would be too complex for the bots to use, like the Wrangler and Short Circuit, but having bots using stuff like the Kritzkrieg, Jarate, Dead Ringer or Natascha would be cool. Even if the bots remain stupid they would at least provide some realism.

First of all i dont even know why you would post such a comment. Second, what if someone were to have bad ping or just simply having a bad day gameplay wise. So they would to play against bots, which do not act as realistic opponents. Not that this is easy to do, but the weapons they wield would make a significant difference on the outcome of offline battles. So to reply to such a dumb comment i would say that if you want to play on a normal server do it, This discussion is to make bots wield better weapons and enhance gameplay.

This would require an insane amount of coding and might even require a new source engine(They need one anyways, source enginer 2.0 maybe?)

To be fair, the bots aren't that good; besides their aim, which for some reason is excellent, their strategies and how they play aren't anywhere near players-demoman for example almost never use their sticky launchers, and the bots never spycheck.

..Mangler, really? it's literally a rocket launcher with infinite ammo and does -80 damage to buildings.. And a mini-crit fire charge that doesn't even do much damage. how is it hell to go against a cow mangler user? it doesn't even have random crits.

I was on a server that did this but I don't have a clue how and they were bots.

Custom weapons on bots that actually adjusted to the specific loadout playstyle would mean probably around 5-10 times the amount of code there currently is in bot AI. Huge amount of coding and testing and they would still probably be a bit ridiculous and people would complain about it.

And if they didn't adjust to the playstyle to their loadout what's the point in including custom loadouts?

EDIT: Nothing is unfeasible to Valve but I don't see this as a good way to spend TF2 resources.
