Third, ignore the idiots. This forum has a lot of trolls in it, and I happen to get into a trolling mood myself sometimes, but this isn't one of those occasions.
On what do you think you need pointers? Tactics, specific classes, mechanics... ?
It's best to practice this on scout.
If you're getting stumped by seomthign or there's a particular player annoying your team, don't go after them continuously with the same class setup, adapt and switch to their counter, even if it's just briefly. A lot of people forget they can just switch classes to solve a problem instead of running at it with scout every time and only meet their doom.
When using rockets, adapt to the speed of the rockets you're using and predict where your enemy is going to be when the rocket gets there rather than where they are right now.
When rocket jumping, try to shoot from a wall instead of the ground, and with practice, it can send you much farther at the cost of less health too.
Jump and crouch before you rocket jump, as it increases your momentum most of the time.
Stop charging in alone. If you're outnumbered, fall back. Don't fight when you're in the red. Look for health packs or a medic if you're injured. Just a few tips that will keep you alive which in turns keeps you firing rockets.
Once you get to 500 ish hours you should have the mechanical stuff like aiming and killing down - the rest most likely has to do with you over-extending and getting into fights you shouldn't get into.
