Seems like your space button is bound to "kill".
Heres an easy way to fix it:
Go to options.
Find "jump".
Click on jump and then click "edit key".
Press space button.
Click "ok".

Done.

143 Hours on TF2 from what I see of you.
What happened is someone did; bind space "kill" or bind space "explode"
Next time a command doesn't work correctly, rebind it in options if you're not familiar with the developers console (You should get familiar with it if you really want to get into TF2)
bind space "+right" is funnier IMO.
