After Testing The Nerfed Weapons...
So I felt the need to play with the new Axtinguisher, Sticky Launcher, and Minigun in depth and get a good feel of just how different they were.

The first was the Axtinguisher, which has been made to do mini crits instead of crits, unless you hit someone in the back.
I noticed that I was not able to kill a Sniper with the mini crit, or even the afterbur that came after I hit them. The only classes I could successfuly kill in one hit was a Scout and a Spy. As for getting hits from the back, I found it very difficult to sneak up on someone as a Pyro without someone noticing. And even when I did sneak up on someone, they would turn around before I could do anything. I didn't have too much of a problem when my other teammates were helping me, but overall I didn't like using it that much.

The second one was the Sticky Launcher. It got a damage nock down for the first 2 seconds of firing.
This is probably the worst of the three. I found it completely useless to use for mid-fight damage. It took me 4 stickies to kill one Scout. Unless you're using it for traps, which are not very useful if the other team know what they are doing, then this weapon is pointless to have. Just use the shield and the Grenade Launcher instead. I got a total of maybe 3 kills when using it. I could understand it being nerfed some, but this is just ridiculous.

Last was the Minigun. It got a damage and accuracy nerf for the first second of using it.
This was the one out of the three that I was most upset with, before testing it. But after testing, it is probably the least noticable. I could notice that it was slightly harder to kill an enemy up i a short amount of time, but after you get it spinning, I had no troubles at all. This doesn't mean that the nerf was a great idea, but it is no where near as bad as the other two. This is the one that I could probably get used to quickly. I had no problems getting around the same amount of kills I would normally get as the Heavy and found it just a little bit harder to use.

So what do all of you think of the new nerfs after trying them?

That's ridiclous, there was nothing wrong with the sticky launcher.
ik. Some people said it was do to sticky spam, which I have never had trouble avoiding.

Same here, I really didn't have a big problem with the sticky launcher. People just whined about it because they could.
I wouldn't be surprised if these nerfs get reversed in a week or two.

Sticky needed to get nerf. It was LONG over due. To many demoes thought they were MLG cause they can det stick in mid air with some what prox and it doing full damage. Now, a lot of classes and average players can hardly dodge a decently or average skilled player rocking stickie. The fact that they nerfed the weapon into what it was suppose to be, a defensive weapon with an offesnive bunker busting trait and not some offensive I can solo everyone on the enemy team weapon. Now, it always bothered me cause when people who rolled stickies decently and spam mid air dets, had to always force me to go soldier or sniper. Pyro if they were still good they can det before I airblast in mid air, scout if im not close enough i wont kill him and if im close enough he'll mid air det, medic no, heavy you cant dodge fast enough around corners and its super easy to sticky kill heavy with mid air dets, and so on and so on. It became a range fight 100% Its like dealing with a pyro with more damage, more health, and further range.

I have no idea why they would nerf the axtinguisher. I thought using it with the degreaser was the problem, not the axtinguisher. Both the axtinguisher and degreaser are both straight upgrades tecnically, but using the axtinguisher with stock or other flame throwers was never a problem since the switch time was its own downfall with stock. It makes me sad to see that the back scratcher is more useful now than the axtinguisher, a signiture weapon of pyro is now more or less pointless

A nerf was ok, but this big of one was not. And if you really had that big of a trouble avoiding stickys, that is your own fault.

i was think everybody that agreed on this should make a big steam group and raise support to get valve to put the weapons back to normal, what do u think?

I don't really enjoy the Axtinguisher any more after this. It wasn't that fun to use.

That won't really make too much aof a difference. Valve doesn't go to direct groups in the community for recommendations for the game. It's better just to express your opinion on the TF2 hub in a respectful way

That won't really make too much aof a difference. Valve doesn't go to direct groups in the community for recommendations for the game. It's better just to express your opinion on the TF2 hub in a respectful way
yeah thats what ive been doing i think they will put it back if the forums keep going
