Many thought Heavies killed people too fast around corners.

Heavy was over used in pubs, Jump around a corner while spinning down, 27 dmg per bullet. I dunno tbh... I guess Volvo just thought it needed a nerf. REALLY. It's ONE second of reduced accuracy/dmg, not a big deal.

Ok its One second,But

How does that One second works?,Do i need to fire my minigun for 1 second to get full damage
Or
Just Hold M2 for 1 second to get the Full damage?

Well heavies jumping from a corner are annoying
Pyroknight Jun 20, 2014 @ 8:06am
The nerf encourages holding down m2 to keep the damage, and makes heavies way worse at attacking around corners, as they either need to noisily fire for one second and alert everyone to their presence, or suffer from the rampup

Basically, they made heavy useless and even bigger sniper bait than before.

RIP Heavy.
Hubio Jun 22, 2014 @ 7:28pm
The nerf is barely even noticable whenever I play heavy.

To be fair, a large man jumping around a corner with a minigun, of all weapons, is certainly going to tear your ass a new one. Nerfing the gun so this can't happen sounds illogical to say the least.

I've legitimately never heard anyone complain about it so I'm just as confused as you are.

I'm in the same boat as you Sir Zorba. I don't recall ever hearing anyone say the minigun, or any heavy primary, was over powered. To be honest, I wish valve would have never nerfed any of the weapons that they did in this most recent update.

I never understood why it took Valve *starts counting his fingers and raises 7* Almost this long to nerf Heavy and Demo. Honestly, I'm very happy with the Demo nerf since stickies should be used for traps, not making the 'nade launcher obsolete.

This Heavy nerf though... I'm not a fan of it; he's a class I avoid playing since kills is really the only thing that makes him fun (imo), so having this greater lack of firepower makes me distance myself from the class much more.

I even main pyro, the biggest heavy food in the game and I don't agree with the nerf.

You do realize that you're never going to see a sticky demo ever again don't you? You'll just see a demoknight charging toward you for one second before he chops your head right off.

Anyways, I use the Heavy the least. Now there's a reason why I'll use him even less.
