what takes longer: turning 180 degrees or firing your main, switching to melee and firing your melee?
what is even the point of making the axe crit people only in the back? whos that going to kill? some ♥♥♥♥♥ who takes longer to turn around than it takes someone to fire two weapons with a switch in between? was there any thought put into this nerf at all?

still waiting for someone who agrees with the nerf to explain how its fair or even functional?

There was thought put into it. It was just the wrong thought. Its a concession to the inattentive players who blamed the pyro's who had the foresight to flank and get close to axe them. Nerf's like these are common and in the grand scheme (and in comparison to some others in history) not that horrible. 34 dammage normally, 195 crit, I assume the mini crit with be around 90 and can still drop a heavy with a meat shot from a shotgun or flare. As for your question, Unless the person is running an insane DPI and twitching like an aimbot, from behind I can fire, airblast and axe and pull a crit still on most people because I strafe the way they turn to keep their back.

Just adjust your play style, I don't really notice a difference.

Raw input is better.

What they run is not my problem or intrest. I suggest learning your quick switch keys and timing all three movements to coincide with closing to melee distance. With practice, all three actions can be completed and the person killed before the flames from your degreaser have dissipated.

Dont get me wrong. I agree it was unneeded nerf and only perpetuates the W+M1 playstyle and caters only to those that can't properly counter someone who's trying to smack them upside the head with an axe. It just doesn't affect me or my playstyle personally and since you were asking I posted my take on before/after on whether the axtinguisher is still viable.

And the answer is, for my playstyle, it is.
