Tired Of This Game Crashing All The Time
You may want to fix the video driver crashing all the time before you get a reputation of beta testing in the public like EA. Some of us actually paid for this game.

What's your hardware and basic software profile?

Granted, I did get a crash to desktop, first time in two years recently.

I crashed, better just assume it's happening to everyone else and whine about, as it couldn't possibly be a problem on my end. - OP.

I haven't had TF2 crash in a long time. What're your specs?

Yes, actually. I run the game on a mac and it works fine, so obviously that's not the problem.

Someone using an OS you don't like isn't free reign to be a douchecanoe.

Yes, but there are enough people out there who take your sentiment seriously that it's hard to distinguish who's serious and who's joking.

Plus, that joke's been made in every mac-help thread ever.

Never had TF2 crash on me ever. Can't help you.

I have seen it crash on 4 other systems - same way. Different hardware specs. Lots of people in game sessions drop and return saying they got the HL2.EXE bug - which in reality is the driver stopped working problem as they had to use task manager to clear the program. The game is still running - you just can't switch back to the game to see what is happening. I have tried clearing the cache - etc form the forums. I just got fed up enough of it crashing every other round that I finally posted something - most likely like the other people out there. Some nights it just works without a problem. Other nights it is intermittent, other nights it is every round. I patch everything as soon as it comes out. I have clean installed onto an SSD drive only to have it return after a couple of weeks of clean play. It is a lot more wide spread than you realize if this is your response.

he's on a mac... but he has an Ubuntu icon... brain hurt...
CreativeGuy Jun 9 @ 6:27pm
I am on a PC for the game, but I have Mac as well as Ubuntu desktops and servers. I was going to try to beta on the Ubuntu laptop, but it was not powerful enough. I need to find a better box to run iton.
