Walking Backwards Glitch
My character randomly starts walking backwards. I've tried everything. Don't try to do research on this question, because I already have and nothing has helped! Anyone have any idea why this is happening?

If you have problems with walking backwards, try pressing "S" less.

I don't press it at all and my character walks backwards.

Have you tried cleaning your keyboard? Alsow if you have a wireless keyboard that might be the case.

I've had it bug before, all I do is tap the direction I'm going in once and it fixes it.

It doesn't do it on other games, only this one. Plus, my keyboard is not wireless.

It fixes it for me temporarily, but it happens again within 10 seconds.

it only happens to me when I'm using the overlay at the same time... verify game cache, it's an easy fix for most problems like that.

well, to be honest it happens to me aswell but as Malik mentioned taping same direction key fixes it.

Does it happen when you're not pressing any keys at all?

Yes. I can stand still and it'll still happen.

Verifying game cache did not work.

then it's your keyboard or its drivers probably. My laptop was made for XP, upgraded to 7, the drivers are ♥♥♥♥ and it hits keys without me telling it to sometimes. It may not be as noticeable in other games, but in TF2 where that bug can happen, odds are something is going on with your keyboard to make it happen more often.

That said, can you try using a different keyboard, gallegosken?

I don't see how that would solve the problem. The keyboard works fine with everything else I use it for.

Well, if the other keyboard doesn't do this, then it would mean the old keyboard is faulty or something.
