Make MvM medic shield into a UberShield on a 5th medi gun!
I can't be the only one that thinks this could be new medi gun ability. medic's all about helping and defending, so would ubershield be that much overkill? With right buffs and nerfs i think it could be new medi gun to a normal PvP.

Well, not that I agree with this change to the phlog but it'd give pyro back his "metagame" spot back in MVM that medic stole from him if it did happen.

Medic was ridiculously underpowered in MvM, and now he's slightly less useless. There's no reason we should have the shield, though. I mean, come on. You're not invulnerable, so you can still cap points! How's that fair?

Well, that can be played like this: when using shield, no capture rate possible, and it doesn't have to be 180 degrees wide, to 100-120 degrees top maybe, and remember this is uber, so it lasts about 7-8 seconds.

It's still able to block someone who IS capturing, such as a heavy and scout behind the wall.

Well yeah, it can't block everyone from capping, but it can stop you going solo to corner and capture, and with shield size of a doorway, medic still could be killed but he can still be able to defend himself.

75% chance to block any incoming projectile/hitscan
-20% duration
100 degrees of coverage
When active, no capping/blocking points.
-50% overheal
-25% healing rate.

What's the point of the shield then? Besides, that's still incredibly unfair, if not making it less fun. You still have people walking with the medic, so the whole "medic can't cap" isn't enough.

Don't suggest that everyone near the medic can't cap either, because that can be exploited by trolls to hurt your team. Also, free-to-players, let's admit it, never really know what they're doing the first time they play a class like medic, so they could be unknowingly screwing the whole team.

the only way this could POSSIBLY work is if it's a field that literally just surrounds the medic, then another field that surrounds his target, making both immune to ranged attacks, but it needs to surround them and only them, but the thing is, doing so would make it almost exactly like stock except for melee attacks work.

oh i didn't say fun, I just said it could work, it still seems like a stupid idea but that's the only way that his base idea seems possible without breaking the game.

Also, free-to-players, let's admit it, never really know what they're doing the first time they play a class like medic, so they could be unknowingly screwing the whole team." is like saying "because F2P don't know how to play first, we can't have new style of weaponry for medic, and can't exploit new powers on guns, because people troll" is kind of pointless reasoning, And alright then, let's take that people can come with medic to cap, then how fair is it to be able to become invincible with normal medi gun, and to block with it when someone's pushing a cart, or trying to capture points, wouldn't that be classified as gamebreaker if we really think of this? Sure this might be little same then that, but atleast you can kill medic thats doing it, but main purpose of it is to defend yourself and person with you, not capture.

It wouldn't make sense, story wise. The shield was created (and probably designed) during the time of MvM. At this point in the game, the teams are no longer against one another, but are working together against Gray Mann and his army of bots. Unless the Engineer creates the time machine even earlier than when he was supposed to, nobody can really see the shield coming into play of pvp.
