Because the spy gets slowed down and can't attack or switch weapons after stabbing a razorback. :U
In that range, you would swap to your I guess ambassador, and shoot them in the head at close range, would you not? Just about as fast, and 'a pointless buff' was the thing someone said last time I put this up.
What makes it pointless? The fact that it is melee and not some unrelated ♥♥♥♥ like fire resistance is the point.
If I said fire resistace 'why fire resistance? doesn't he have jarate? Isn't the razorback made of woodd?'
And yes, it does hurt spies a bit. They've got to either avoid the sniper or take the time to take out the gun and shoot them down- alerting all nearby enemies that a spy is there.
Checking behind you doesn't stop a spy from shooting at you with their gun. And when you're facing a team that's got like 4-5 spies running around, the razorback's use starts to become more viable. But like I was saying in the OP, it's usefulness right now is extremely situational and one-dimensional.
It's also like saying 'nobody even uses the third degree why does it need reworked?'
What a ♥♥♥♥♥♥-ass balance team. Always butchering class relationships
