Would you still play if...
Would you still play if Valve never added any new weapons to the game at all, and it stayed full stock forever? I don't think I would, the game would have gotten boring without all these awesome new weapons.

But I know there are some people that hate all the fancy weapons, and would prefer if the game stayed full stock. What's your opinion?

I would probably still play... just not as often.

I would stay, but if they never added weapons/hats, I would just open when I'm bored.

I would definitely stay

I was interested in the game just before hats were introduced, so I think I would still play every so often.

If they kept adding maps, game modes like MvM, Halloween events, and voice lines that would probably suffice for me.

Probably. But I would never play pyro anymore.

I would play on a rare bored occasion, the new weapons bring back the excitemen of possible finding one while playing. You can only find some many items before they start repeating.

If they stopped now, I would still play. Definitely. But if they didn't add new ones from the start, meh. Only occasionally. What I like about TF2 is how you can really (if youre good) customize your playstyle to the teams needs and the situation at hand because of all the variety. If it was all stock, it would result in (almost) just being completely skill, and I hate those kinds of games

Which is why we have random crits.

Well it depends on what you mean. If Valve had never made any items at all then I would've not played at all. But if you mean that Valve never added any new items from now on, then I would still play.

I mean if Valve never added any new weapons ever. I should probably edit my main post to make it more clear.

honestly, I'd probably have kept playing the game as it was before the love and war update for quite a long time. Now, seeing the kind of nerfs in the update, it's an indicator of what's to come. If they take too long to revert the ones they put in(minus the bushwhacka) or implement more unwarranted nerfs, I'm probably gonna quit. All stock TF2 is boring, a few of the classes(though mostly pyro) are either useless or not worth playing.

Valve probably would have buffed the stock Fire Axe a little bit to make stock Pyro more powerful.

And it makes me sad that you're gonna quit TF2. Really, what was Valve thinking with those nerfs, they nerfed both of the already weakest classes.

Stock pyro definitely needs a buff. I'm trying to get my hands on an australium flamethrower even though it's barely gonna be worth using for serious play, just because I like pyro so much.

I'll only quit entirely if they continue down this trend of nerfs that cater to the pub players who dont learn to counter things. I know I'm definitely not going to play pvp nearly as much until the axe and minigun nerfs are reverted, but MVM is still holding my interest for now. (inb4 all possible killstreak kits are put in crates, killing the profit of Two Cities)

Is it okay to bump old threads? This thread died too fast, and I still wanna see what people have to say.

I'll delete the thread if it's not okay.
