How long will TF2 live?
I started to notice there is less players in the game, and was wondering how long will this game last

Probably a long time as long as Valve keeps making new content

Minus launch, there is no noticable player drop.

Valve makes too much money off of TF2 to stop providing content for it, and they've done a good job of keeping it fresh so far, so I think it'll live for a very long time.

Even if Valve were to drop support for this game, it would still be played for a very long time. Just look at games like the original Unreal Tournament, that game came out in 1999, and it still has a small community playing.

TF2 will be popular for atleast 20-30 more years.

If Valve continues to do completely needed nerfs; ie heavy, stickylauncher, axtinguisher, than the Competetive, and majority of the experienced community will leave, thus leaving this to be a true trading simulator filled with autists and children.

But I think Valve learned their lesson; the game will probs live on for a while; and if it is moved onto the upcomming Source 2 engine, then it will become even more popular. Plus; Love and War gave us a sign Valve is willing to add more weapons into the game.

Well it doesn't. But when we the comp-experienced players who take the game slighty seriously will leave, than the game is essentially dead.
