Idea for Heavy Primary
I have an idea for a minigun for the Heavy. I even have a name for it. It's called Ludmila. It's basically a Dr. Grordbort style laser version of the Tomislav in design. For the stats, for a slight damage penalty, it will have a faster fire rate than the Tomislav and the ammo recharges by five ammo(?) a second when you stop firing. I'm also thinking about including a mechanic involving a solid laser beam. I'm thinking there would be a charge meter, and you would hold down Mouse2 for about five seconds to build up the charge. Once the charge meter is full, a solid laser beam would fire out of the minigun for about ten seconds. I'm thinking that this charge will require full ammo to use and using it would completely deplete the ammo; that way the Heavy can't use it all the time. Letting go of Mouse2 at any point before the charge is full would cancel the charge. This mechanic would of course mean that you may not spin down the minigun without firing with this weapon. I'm also thinking that the Heavy would be forced to stand completely still while this beam is charging and while it's firing.

Obviously this is a very nascent idea, and I am open to suggestions to improve upon it. Thoughts anyone?

EDIT: I'm now changing the name from Ludmila to Polina.

Not right now, Valve hates heavy. Didn't get a unique taunt or a new weapon in the update instead got a nice big nerf that was more unessesary than the demoman one, and they still didn't revert it!

However sticking to the topic, I don't think the name suits the futuristic idea of grordbort weapons. However it would be nice to see a heavy weapon that doesn't consume ammo and has a laser that has damage fall of at ranges, but cannot get critical hits at all making him less of a medic buddy.

As an alternate name, I was also thinking of Angelika. I see what you mean about that, but I was trying to stick to the theme of Heavy's weapons having Russian names. I was also thinking that I thought it mght be cool for Heavy to have an option for pestering enemies and even picking off certain targets at longer ranges. Plus, I just like laser weapons. :)

offtopic:
Actually, only two Heavy's miniguns have russian names ('Sasha', stock one, and 'Natasha', unlock). 'Tomislav' isn't a real name, and 'Iron Curtain', 'Brass Beast' and 'Huo-Long Heater' aren't names at all.

My idea for a minigun
Kalashi
-Has the look of an AKM,but still contain a minigun appearance
-10+ damage
-Poor accuracy
-On kill, initiates an aurora that gives ammo nearby team mates.

Ludmilla was the exact same name to a beta-minigun which had a lifesteal mechanic.

It proved to be over powered and was ultimately scraped.

This. I've seen a few randomizer servers have it, but I wouldn't call it overpowered at all. It was kind of useless tbh.

Again, take base mini-guns, bump to 20 base damage, and all of this goes away...

I have a better name for it: Laïka

There is already a weapon named Ludmilla in the files. In the game it's named Natasha.

Heavy nerf didn't hold a candle to Demonerf.

Dog name?

Good idea, but it needs a new name (something with a "P" so it goes along with the pyro and engineer versions.)
