I honestly never saw the need for cell, damn thing is not even a need its bloody luxury but most ppl are so hooked up to the point of hitting a depression when losing are spending a week with out cell.. its pathetic.

That is pathetic indeed. However the use of a cellphone as a handy tool is a reality. All you gotta do is be emotionally stable enough to survive without a need for constant entertainment and attention (easier said than done for many I guess)

It has its perk I wont deny it.. car accident, fuel shortage, urgent/important call from a agent or employ stuff like that, but for steam to force ppl to use a cell for trade is just plain idotic and narrow viewed of their part.. shows how much they generalize.

Actually, mobile guard is a very good idea, it just isn't executed well. The idea behind the guard is that it will show who is an adult and who isn't, because older people tend to have phones while younger people do not. This program also discourages scammers/phishers because they would have to risk losing their account E-mail (Microsoft and Google phones use Email to run the phone, so they can't switch to a different Email account) when attempting a phish or scam.
The sad thing is is that some people have multiple phones, or don't have a phone despite their age.

Still huge pain, if cant keep their emails updated and secure and get scammed like idiots its their fault and should live with it, its a no brainer.. dont trade with randoms or shady players..theres ways to see if the guy is legit or not. as for phishers well it should be obvious when they come at you... devs bleed trying to say they never ask for your info and all..

If he/she is stupid enough to fall for it they gotta live with it and stop being so damn ignorant on the internet.
